The hay grown just for bunnies!
TAO (Timothy, Alfalfa, Orchard Grass)
This is an early-cut sweet and crunchy hay grown for the particular tastes and smaller mouths of house rabbits. This is a combination of Timothy hay, sweet Orchard grass and Alfalfa hay, (hence the name TAO) blended at seeding to deliver the most flavorful taste and enticing scent to bunnies. Our TAO Hay is the "spring mix" of hays. If you have ever had a spring mix salad, this is the hay equivalent. It is primarily Timothy and Orchard grass, with a small touch of early Alfafa. It is a very soft, shiny, and fragrant hay.
Like all Crazy Tasty Hay® fields, the TAO field is tiny. It is a single field that produces only a small amount of this amazing hay. We do not have hundreds of acres of "feed hay" growing. We have a very limited number of fields that are designated exclusively for our Crazy Tasty Hay for bunnies. Because this hay contains some alfalfa, we do not filter this hay so not to lose the nutrients. It is very clean and not dusty. Please see the images to see what the particles you can expect if you choose this hay.
This size is Medium and contains 24 ounces of Crazy Tasty Hay® - TAO.
Please note: If you have been feeding your bunnies generic, store-bought hay, be careful when setting this hay down until they are accustomed to it. We are receiving reports of bunnies lunging at the hay thinking it is a treat due to the aroma. This is why it's named "Crazy Tasty". Our hay is NOT sweetened by anything other than Mother Nature.

Crazy Tasty Hay® - TAO is pesticide-free and preservative-free. We do not spray our hay with chemicals while it's growing or during harvesting.

We ordered this hay because we were concerned about how little hay our bunny was eating. Now we have a new problem: she likes it so well, she won't use the litter box we put it in. All said and done, though, I prefer this problem to the old one. After all, we can put the hay she wouldn't eat in the other box (don't ask) and keep the good stuff readily available!

Maxie loves this, but then we were assured by friends that she would. Now, however, she doesn't want anything to do with the regular Timothy hay. I wish I could get a picture of the little pile of pellets she left on her timothy hay when I decided to put it out instead, last night.

I bought the smaller bag of this and one of the Wild Bunny Delight, and I put a bit of both hays in opposite corners of my rabbit's large litter box. She hopped in right away and started on the Wild, then switched over to the TAO, then back, then back again....My poor girl couldn't decide which one she liked better! This one is a nice fragrant, light/medium green, not quite a soft as the Crazy Tasty, but still much softer than Brome. As always, great hay, great service. My Cassie gets the best and Bingaling is it!
